My little handsome fella,
We had our Disney trip and you were such a good little boy.  You were content to sit in your stroller and when you were tired, you just dosed off.  I know this was not the best year for a Disney trip but it was the year that I retired and I wanted it to be a special year.  We did have a great time and you loved the pool.

One night all the mom's and dad's went out for supper and Papa and I kept all the kids.  You were not too happy when you realized that mommy and daddy were no where to be found.  Finally you feel asleep on Papa's shoulder. Whew!

When you came home for Christmas you did much better at warming up.  By the end of the stay you were reaching your arms up to me and I was loving it.  You love to eat and when you eat, you get so excited and you say "Numm Numm"  it is so funny.  I have a couple video's of it b/c it just cracks me up.

I am going to try to get to your house every month or every other so I can get to see you more often.

Happy Birthday big fella!
We were down last weekend for your first birthday. What a wonderful celebration and such a great party. You didn't know what to think with all the people there and kids playing with your toys. But you did such a great job and were so good.  Your mommy and daddy were so proud of you.  You are such a beautiful little boy and I love you so much

Hi my little precious,
It is hard not to be able to see you for a month at a time.  I miss you little fella.  And you are going through your shy faze where you only want mommy. But we were down this past week and your mommy was at work and daddy took off and I thought you were getting better b/c you really didn't cry at all. It was awesome.  And several times you even put your arms out to let me take you.  That just melts my heart little guy.  Want to make Gramma happy, just reach out for her.  you are crawling now and boy you are all over the place.

My little handsome Chase,
Your mommy tells me there is a new girl at your day care house and the first day she asked your mommy why your face was so precious. and here is the email your mommy sent yesterday:

So today I learned that the new little girl's name is Autumn, and she's 6 years old.

We were in the front room picking up Chase today, and she said "you guys are so lucky". So I said "why are we lucky?" and she pointed to Chase. I said "aww, you like him", and she said "no, I looove him" with a big emphasis on love. It was adorable. Then she told us that she wishes she was old enough to babysit him. It was very sweet :).

Hi my little precious.
You are absolutely the most beautiful baby. I can't hardly stand it!. Uncle Shane and Aunt Staci and I went down to your house a couple weeks ago and you can now sit up by yourself. and you are so funny.  You play with your toys so gosh darn cute.  We put a toy in front of Caden and you would reach over and take it, so then we would put another toy in front of him and you would lean  over and take it too. Staci and I just kept trading the toys and you just kept taking them.. how do little boys know to do that at 9months old?  That is just crazy.
Your mommy told me that she picked you up at day care and a little girl asked her "why do you have such a precious face"?  Isn't that too funny?

Your daddy cracks me up with how he jiggles you and turns you around.  He puts you on the bed and then he pushes on the bed to make you bounce up and down and he says "he likes this" haha, I don't think you have a choice.  Your daddy is on the hyper side so he is always jumping up and down and you think it is so funny.

You are now 5 months old and you have changed so much already, you are such a little butterball, (you probably won't like hearing that)  I had a darn cold for Easter, so I didn't hold you once b/c I sure don't want you to get sick.  It was killing me not to cuddle you and give you some smooches. You were smiling at me all the time.  Just melts my heart!

Hi there babydoll,
I forgot to tell you, when your mommy and daddy finally got you home, they just didn't know what do with you.  I told your daddy why don't you guys just go to Target if you want to and he said "we don't know how"!! too funny, I just cracked up.  I said Dan, you and Marissa have traveled the world and you can't figure out how to take a baby to Target!!  Boy, I laughed about that.  Your parents are smarter than anything and you are giving them a run for their money already.

Welcome Chase
What an entrance you made into this world.  You were 5 1/2 weeks early and sure gave us all quite a scare. Your mommy and daddy sure had a hard time leaving you in the hospital night after night.  You had to stay about 5 weeks and what a long 5 weeks it was.  Your aunts and uncles and me (all of us in Erie county) were kinda glad you were in Buffalo b/c we were able to come and see you more often.  If you had of been in Maryland, we sure wouldn't have made it so often.  We all hurt so much for your parents.  You had no idea what was going on  but it was killing them.  They hadn't even been unpacked in their own home yet, from the move back from Germany. So, your daddy and I took a weekend to try to settle your house alittle and get it  ready for baby boy to move home.
I for one am sure glad this part of your little life is over and you are gaining weight like crazy. You are a chubby little fella and I sure love you so much and miss you so much.  It is hard when I can't see you very often.
