My dear sweet Chase!
We are all going to your house for your birthday party and everyone is sleeping in the basement instead of buying a hotel room. You are happy about that, not so sure if your parents are or not ! :)
I said to you the other night if you took your sleeping bag to the basement and you said you didn't have one and your daddy said, well, you could sleep on the floor and you were totally ok with that and said and I will take my pillow down and a blanket! haha. Your parents bought you a sleeping bag for the occasion.
Your daddy told me you cried last night b/c you wanted us there already and you didn't want to wait.
I can't wait to see you new little 5 year old

My dear little Chase,
You are so funny sometimes and you crack me up. You started preschool and you called me that night to tell me about it and the first thing out of your mouth was "I don't know what the consequence will be" I guess they must have told you if you do something wrong there will be consequences but you didn't know what that would be. Cracked me up. You loved preschool and very glad to be there. You sent me an audio message, so I sent you an audio message back and you sent me another audio and it said " hi grammie Rita, Thank you for my message and I love you with all my heart" I guess I listened to that 100 times. Haha. I love receiving messages like that.

My sweet Chase,
I love when daddy calls me for facetime b/c you wanted to see me. That makes my heart so happy because I sure love seeing you too.
I forgot to tell you about your peepee. When you were at the lake house Bowen showed you how to pee without taking your pants all the way down. You guys were in a public toilet and you dropped your pants and Bowen said "you don't have to do that , see this is what you do" and he peed. So, at the lake house, one morning you woke up and decided to pee like that and held your peepee up so it went everywhere. And then when I was down there the last time, you showed me again how Bowen taught you to pee. Too funny, what boys share with each other

My dear Chase!
I was down last weekend to visit with all of you and you are now expecting me to bring frosted brownies with rainbow sprinkles, so of course I do have to bring them. I also brought cookies. Soon after I got there you wanted to eat a brownie and you knew you probably wouldn't be allowed to eat another. So, you said to your mom "grammie and I need some alone time to discuss having another brownie" cracked me up!.. Grammie would have given it to you for being so cute.
You are getting so so big and you talk non stop, not sure where you got that from because neither of your parents are very good talkers. It is pretty funny, they even laugh about it and wonder how that happened.

My sweet Chase.
Your family came up for the 4th of July and you were so excited to spend time with us and your cousins. You are such a sweetie and I miss you so much. You told your parents that Grammie is always so excited to see you. That makes me feel good, you can feel how much I love you!!
Uncle Bryan and Aunt Sommer slept in the living room with all the kids and you were so happy to be there and have all the commotion and the laughter went on and on!
You did have a mattress on the floor in my bedroom, but that night your daddy took your mattress down with everyone else and in the morning you said to me "sorry I didn't come up quicker, come to the living room, I have a surprise, but don't make a word" you were showing me everyone sleeping and you were pretty excited about it.
We were out on the boat and it is shallow for quite a way out from shore and I said " look, see that man walking in the water?" and you said "only God can walk on water" Pretty good, Chase, for a 4 year old.
I love you so much honey, and I sure wish we lived closer.

My dear Chase.
Papa and I were down over this past weekend to babysit you and the twins while mommy and daddy did a weekend get away to a ski resort.
I brought you a home made cookie which you just love and you wanted another cookie, (I did have another but you wanted it the next day) but you still wanted two cookies the first day and I couldn't find another one in your parents pantry and I said, "do you really think you should have two cookies anyhow?" and you said "but it is a special day"
Papa and I went down at Christmas to be with you when Santa came and we all went to the Christmas eve program at your church and you picked up a song book and asked me what it was and I said it was a song book, then you picked up a Bible and asked me what it was and I told you a Bible. Then a little while later, a young man was reading from the Bible and you were watching him very intently and finally looked at me and asked..what's he talking about, and I said he was reading from the Bible. So, you picked up the Bible and gave it to me and said, will you read this to me? haha, not a book I could read in a setting.
You are feeling so neglected, I am afraid. It is so hard for you sometimes. But this too will pass and you are so loved and I told you I loved you first, 3 whole years before those twins came along!
