 My sweet Chase

Papa and I and uncle Shane and Staci, Kiera and Caden Spent Thanksgiving week in Punta Cana with you and your family. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with you guys. I just miss you so much and I don’t get to see you enough.

As every kid, you’re a fussy eater in one night, we went to a hibachi restaurant and surprisingly you tried most everything and you said to your dad I rate this meal at 10 out of a 10. Cracked us up.

You also asked me for a piña colada and you told me it wouldn’t have alcohol in it. I was very glad to hear that. :)

I love you, Chase and I’ll see you soon for Christmas

 Oh my sweet Chase,

I sure do love you, but you were getting older now and you don’t call or text me as often as you used to. I miss that! He did send me a text yesterday and told me to wish Papa a happy Veterans Day, I thought that was awfully nice of you.

Papa and I came to your house a few weeks ago and you and Hayden were on the hill up from your house and you were waving and running back to your house as fast as you can. Hayden took off but you stopped and got in the car with us. This sure melts my heart. 

We are all going to Punta Cana next week and I can’t wait to spend some more time with you

 my dear Chase,

All the family had a weekend in Pittsburgh, and spent the night, we all had a great time. It’s nice for you to get together with the cousins who you don’t get to see as often as I would like. And then the following week you spent  here with me and Papa. We had a great time.

Your mom told us you have been trying different foods at home lately. You told her, I have to try different things. I’m almost an adult. Well, you are going to be 11 in two months.

You are such a joy to be at my house. He listens so well and you are very polite. I would wish you would always love coming to my house.

You kept bugging me this time to mow the grass, so finally, I said all right let me show you where to do it and what to do. Well, I have to say, you mow like your dad, you sure missed a lot of spots and didn’t want to do it for very long! Haha. Your dad was that way too.

I sure love you and I will always be your biggest advocate.

 My sweet Chase,

You are such a little love.  You send me texts or pictures sometimes and it just makes my heart melt.. Papa and I went down to see you guys last month. You knew we were getting close and you were riding your bike up to greet us and you were on Whites Road and Papa  and I didn’t realize it was you at first. But when you saw us you turned around and just started racing back to your house and you were kind of weaving back-and-forth and you kept turning around to look at us and I just couldn’t believe how excited I was to see you do this.

Your mom and dad went away for one night in two days and you were just as sweet as could be. Whenever I’d tell or ask you something you were very agreeable.

I asked you what the best part of your weekend was and you told me spending time with me. What a great answer.

 My dear Chase,

I forgot to tell you about when you were home at Christmas. Bowen was showing you a trick when you shake a can of pop and then tap it and open it and it doesn’t spray all over. So, of course you had to try it, and you shook it and when you went to open it, the pop sprayed all over the dining room. Oh my goodness, I think you felt so bad. Bowen is always “teaching you something” like when he taught you to pee without taking your pants way down and you peed all over the wall and floor. 

I sure love you Chase and you are one smart kid. The books you read amaze me and you read them so fast.

You called me the other day to talk about Les Miserables.
